Knitted Ropes

Knitted Ropes are resistant at high temperatures up to the short-term working temperature of 600oC and the continuous working temperature of 550oC. Knitted Ropes are the most flexible compared to braided ropes. This makes it suitable for sealing in boilers and coke ovens etc. It is easy to use so is ideal for domestic applications. Knitted ropes are available in diameters from 6mm to 20mm in both white and black colour.
Black or White Knitted Ropes

Examples of Application:

Used as a gasket or seal:
  • in boilers,
  • coke ovens,
  • industrial ovens,
  • wood stove / pellet stove doors and fire doors.

Thermal Lagging Ropes

Vitcas® Thermal Lagging Rope has gap filling applications which can be used for example, between fire surrounds and chimney breasts. The lagging rope also has insulating properties for use in pipe work.

 

Braided Ropes

Braided ropes are high temperature resistant and high strength. Resistant up to 600oC. They are more rigid than knitted ropes and they are available in diameters from 3mm to 20mm in both white and black colour.

Glass Fibre Square Packing Ropes

Glass fibre square packing ropes provide excellent flexibility, good spring back and have high mechanical strength. They are heat resistant up to 1260oC.
