Thermal Lagging Ropes
Thermal Lagging Rope - High-Temperature Insulation for Gap Filling and Pipework
Vitcas® offers a comprehensive range of high-temperature lagging materials made from glass fibre and ceramic fibre, specifically designed for thermal insulation in demanding industrial and domestic environments. These materials are engineered to reduce heat loss, enhance energy efficiency, and protect surrounding structures and personnel from excessive heat.
Glass Fibre Lagging is a cost-effective, durable solution for thermal insulation in applications where temperatures reach up to 550°C. It is ideal for wrapping around hot water pipes, flue systems, and heating appliances. The fibres are woven or braided into flexible formats.
Ceramic Fibre Lagging offers superior thermal resistance, withstanding continuous temperatures up to 1260°C. It is highly resistant to thermal shock, making it suitable for use in more extreme industrial conditions such as furnaces, kilns, and exhaust systems.

Examples of Application:
- Insulation of high-temperature pipes, ducts, and flues
- Gap sealing in stoves, boilers, furnaces, and fireplaces
- Heat containment in kilns, forges, and foundries
- Protection of personnel and equipment from radiant heat
- Thermal lagging in power generation, metal processing, and petrochemical plants
