Yarn

This is the starting point for all of the other materials. It is made from Ceramic Fibre or Glass Fibre and optionally can be reinforced with inconel wire.

Cloth

This material is woven from Ceramic Fibre Yarn reinforced either with inconel wire or glass fibre.

Knitted Ropes

These are made from twisted or pre-twisted strands of ceramic fibre (reinforced either with inconel wire or glass fibre) or from glass fibre. The hard ropes are composed of three pre-twisted strands which are themselves knitted to form the rope. The soft ropes are knitted directly from the yarn which gives a more easily compressible seal. Both types of glass fibre ropes are available in natural colour (white) and black colour.

Lagging

Rope Lagging consists of a central core of ceramic fibre or glass fibre held together by an outer braid of glass fibre.

Tape and Ladder Tape

Tapes and Ladder Tapes are woven from ceramic fibre (reinforced either with inconel wire or glass fibre) or from glass fibre. Ladder Tape has a cloth weave on the outer edges but a more open weave in the centre to facilitate installation over studs. The tapes optionally have a self adhesive backing strip. All types of glass fibre tapes are available in natural colour (white) and black colour.
