Low cement refractory castable

VITCAST 1400LCC-AL

Bauxite based low cement castable developed specifically for use with molten aluminium. It contains an additive which reduces wetting in contact with molten aluminium and therefore resists corundum growth.

VITCAST 1400LCC

A versatile low cement castable often used for pre-cast shapes to replace special shaped firebricks. Examples are pre-cast interlocking tiles for boilers and for periphery blocks on kiln car bases.

VITCAST 1600LCC

This material can also be used for pre-cast shapes like 1400LCC but additionally can be used for burner quarls, ladle linings, top ring blocks around the open tops of brick lined vessels and the upper side walls in aluminium melting furnaces.

Vitcast 1700 LCC - P

High alumina, bauxite based low cement castable for use in extreme conditions. Examples are hearth blocks in reheat furnaces, inside steel ladles and the throats of iron torpedo ladles in contact with molten iron and steel.

Very high alumina, low cement castable for use where conditions are the most arduous and chemical purity is important. Mainly used in the manufacture of pre-cast blocks and where resistance to slag penetration is paramount.
